April is Volunteer Month, so now is the perfect time to shine a spotlight on some of the amazing organizations that dedicate their time and energy to making our city a better place. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or looking to lend a hand for the first time, there's a volunteer opportunity for everyone. We’ve compiled a list of a few organizations that our agents hold near and dear to their hearts below.

Helping Hand Home

Hope Austin

Hope Austin aims to tackle food insecurity for students in Austin. By providing weekend meals to students who lose their subsidized meals offered during the school week, HopeAustin ensures the brightest future for our children and the broader community by ensuring children have every opportunity to learn and thrive without hunger. Foundation Communities

Foundation Communities is a local, homegrown nonprofit that provides affordable, attractive homes and free on-site support services for thousands of families with kids, as well as veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. From volunteering to build welcome kits or helping residents file their taxes, there are a multitude of ways to help Foundation Communities serve their mission. 

Mobile Loaves & Fishes

Volunteer at the Community First! Village that provides affordable, sustainable housing for the disabled and chronically homeless or choose to help prepare and deliver meals to the homeless. See their volunteer calendar here. All volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Preservation Austin 

Preservation Austin seeks to create a future where historic places play a meaningful role in everyone’s life, inspiring all Austinites to become advocates for preservation. Austin Parks Foundation

The Austin Parks Foundation helps maintain trails, parks and open spaces in Austin and Travis County. Hands both big and small are encouraged to get involved! Their website details volunteer opportunities you can participate in based on the ability and age of your kids.
